THE OWLERY

Caroline gave an awkward little wave to Leah.

"Well, hi. Matilda is in my house, actually in my dorm." Bianca studied Leah carefully, and she then formulated a picture of Matilda in her imagination.

"You two don't look a whole lot alike." she stated.

"Well yeah, we don't have the same parents." Leah said bluntly. "Hey, Caroline!"

"How you doing, Leah?" Caroline asked. "Good, bad.. Inbetween?"

"Good bad what?" Leah asked, cocking her head to the side.

"In between. You know, the middle of something?" Bianca said, smiling cheekily.

Caroline didn't want to nod, as Bianca was being cheeky, but.. She was right. Leah didn't know what inbetween was?

"In the middle of what, though?" Leah asked laughing.

"In between good and bad, of course!" Bianca huffed at her.

"For WHAT though? Good and bad of WHAT?" Leah asked back. Couldn't they understand a simple question? "You know what- it doesn't matter." She said shortly and turned back around to tie the envelope to the owl.

Caroline started to understand her question, but it was already too late, so she just sat there quietly. This was certainly awkward.

Leah sighed. "Hey, Caroline! HOw's your sister? Always giving you a pain?"

Bianca raised her eyebrows at Leah. "You have quite the temper!" And she began to giggle a little-not meanly, but rather amusedly.

"I- What?! Does it matter if I have a temper?" Leah mumbled.

"No, not at all. But my mommy says that if you have a temper, it can sometimes land you into a lot of trouble. Speaking of which, your mother is the Transfiguration teacher, isn't she? Well, she doesn't like me very much!"

"How do you know? My mom doesn't judge anyone. She may have that scowl on her face a lot, and she may be partially evil or possessed or something but NO she doesn't dislike anyone- except for Will Sawyer."

"Oh, who's he?" she asked curiously. "I don't think he's in my house."

"No, he's in mine. He's stupid. Don't talk to him. He'll manipulate and brainwash you into a mindless clone then kill you." Leah replied.

Bianca took a step back nervously, and gulped a little. "Oh my... he sounds really frightening!" she shivered slightly. "I didn't expect such... PEOPLE to be at Hogwarts when I started her!"

Leah nodded solemnly. "Of course, he hasn't gotten to the killing part yet, but I bet one day he will."

"We should stop him right now!" Bianca proclaimed loudly. "We'll send him to that one wizarding prison you have in Britain!"

"Askorban!" proclaimed Louise, who was suddenly there again.

"Yeah you're right! So true! But he's only thirteen, they don't do that anymore."

"Well, okay then! As soon as he turns seventeen, we'll send him off to Askorban!" Bianca exclaimed valiantly. "We'll be doing the universe some good!"

"My sister's a pain in the ass, just like always!" Caroline interjected, trying to avert the conversation from Will Sawyer. He was cute, and she fancied him. She couldn't just sit around while they insulted him!
