"Oh, you're a muggle? All that technology leaves me so flabbergasted. My husband is one as well."

"Oh, it's exactly the opposite for me! I can't envision how you all could live without it!" Julia flitted her hands about when she spoke. "My husband seems alright, though... Adapted, I mean."

Amanda handwaved the thought of living with or without it away. "My husband seemed to melt down with his reality television."

"Oh, who's your husband?"

"Trevor Summerfield, he's a bit of a, uhm, interesting type?" Amanda laughed. "Who's your's?"

"Wallace--" A moment of hesitation. "--Vainglory." Julia looked rather abashed. "It's an old name..."

Amanda's shoulder immediately stiffened. Yes, everything was over and forgiven, but if he was here... well that could cause quite the unwanted mini brawl. "Well, it's unique for sure."

"I suppose. Did you know him, maybe? Come to think of it, I think he mentioned someone named Amanda once."

Amanda didn't reply for a good minute, trying to think of the least awkward answer. "Erm, yes, we were friends for a bit."

Good, that's all it was. "Oh, that's nice. We went to Uni together."

"Oh, I visited a couple times. It was a cute little campus!"

"I suppose it was. Gaping holes in some back walls... Empty buildings... Breeding grounds for rave vermin."

Amanda's eyes widened. "R-really? I owner some a cute little red bricked building with ivy covered it... None of that. That sounds terrible! I went to Pendragon University, and may I saw the food was as terrible as some of the stuff you listed sounds."

"Oh, yes! Same here!" she exclaimed, appalled. "I lived off-campus, though. So, I didn't see much of it. Thank goodness!"

Jennifer tugged on Amanda's sleeve, getting bored. "Oh, well that's an upside. So, did Wallace come today?"

Eugene was making eyes at Jennifer over the top of his handheld game. "No," answered Julia, "He said something about an article on black mold that simply had to be released to the public." She laughed at her own imitation of her husband's melodrama.

Jennifer, at that time, had whipped out her own gameboy after fishing in Amanda's purse. "Oh, gosh. That sounds terrible!" Amanda laughed along.

"It is! I kept telling him, 'Listen, mister, Milly is YOUR daughter too. You HAVE to be there.' And he was all, 'Alas, my darling' all kissing my hand and that... Has he always been like this?" Eugene was trying to see what game Jen had going. He himself was working away at a pre-owned cart of Burnt Sienna.

Amanda had a transparent purple game boy that she had found in Amanda's old stuff from childhood, and fished it out and right now, a pokemon blue cartridge was sticking out of it. "Always the dramatics since third year with him."

"Third year!" Julia exclaimed. "Wow, so you two go back a while, eh?" Eugene looked somewhat disappointed; this meant they couldn't trade or anything.

Leah turned to Adam. "You're oddly quiet, why is that?" she blurted out at him.

"I-I'm not..." Yes, you are. "... I don't know."

"Yeah, I was going through a phase and he pushed me along, and we were friends for a while afterwards."

Julia, looking rather anxious, lowered her voice: "I don't mean to sound prying, but you wouldn't happen to know about his -- ahem -- issues, would you?"

Amanda's eyes widened has a flood of semi-forgotten memories came flowing in, and she nodded.
